Whether joining with friends as a team or signing up as an individual, we know you'll enjoy the best that Summer has to offer.  

 

Choose the night you want to play!  We offer Softball leagues on Tuesday, Thursday & Fridays!  Register today as these popular leagues will sell-out.

 

Tuesday & Thursday league registration deadline is Thursday, April 23 at midnight.

Friday league registration deadline is Tuesday, May 19 at midnight.

 


Sprummer 2020 Details: 

Start / End Dates

Tuesday: Starts Tuesday, May 12 and ends Tuesday, August 25

 

Thursday: Starts Thursday, May 14 and ends Thursday, August 27.

 

Friday: Starts Friday, May 22 and ends Friday, August 28

# of Weeks

Tuesday & Thursday leagues are 16 weeks (14 regular season games + 2 playoff games).

 

Friday league is 14 weeks (12 regular season games + 2 playoff games).

Estimated Game Times

Rotating Start times of 6:00pm, 6:30pm 7:00pm, 7:30pm, 8:00pm, 8:30pm, 9:00pm and 9:30pm.

 

Game length is 90 minutes.

 

Note: Every effort is made to equalize the start times and game locations across the league.

Bye Dates

There are no games on:

  • Wednesday, July 1 (Canada Day)
  • Friday, July 31 (Civic Holiday Weekend)
Registration Options & Price

Tuesday & Thursday Team registration: $695 + HST

Friday Team registration: $610 + HST

 

After checkout, send your teammates roster invites through the website (under "My Team" player list) so they can accept the waiver and access the schedule and standings once it is posted.   


Tuesday & Thursday Individual registration: $85 + HST. 

Friday Individual registration: $75 + HST. 

 

You will be placed on a roster of individuals by end of day Tuesday, May 5. For ease of communication with our office, teams must select a captain and co-captain on our website to represent your individuals team. Click here to learn more about Individual teams.

Meet & Greet and Equipment Pick-Up

SAVE THE DATE: Sprummer 2020 Meet & Greet! 

 

Each season we host an event for individual registrants to meet their teammates before the season begins.  This event is also for team captains looking to rent and/or pick-up equipment for the season.

 

Tuesday, May 5th, 2020 at the Red Lion Pub (211 Coleman Street). Click here for more information.

 

  • 7pm - Individuals Registrants Meet & Greet.  Decide on a team name, captain, jersey colour and pick-up your QSSC newsletter.
  • 8pm - Team Captains equipment pick-up.

Rosters & Schedule

Tuesday & Thursday League: Individual team rosters will be posted online by end of day Tuesday, May 5. Schedules will be posted online by end of day Friday, May 8.

 

Friday League: Individual team rosters and league schedules will be posted online by end of day Wednesday, May 20.

What you need to know about Softball!  


# of People on Diamond

9 players (minimum 3 males and 3 females).

Suggested Roster and Skill Level

Suggested roster size of 10-12 players.

Skill Levels:

  • Recreation - Focused on having fun, beginners
  • Intermediate - Experienced softball players, have a couple home run hitters on your team. 

Equipment

Teams are responsible for bringing the following equipment to each game;
  • A set of 4 bases
  • 4 batting helmets
  • 3 Softballs
  • 2 pylons (when required – see Registration page) 
  • 1 catcher's mask
  • 1 scorebook

Equipment will not be provided on-site. 

 

A catcher’s mask, softballs, pylons and base sets are available to rent from QSSC for a $75 refundable deposit.

 

This can be done at the time of your league registration and in your shopping cart.

 

Batters and Base Runners are required to wear a helmet (mandatory). Helmets are the responsibility of each team to provide.  All teams must have a minimum of 4 helmets (one for the batter and 3 for potential base runners).

Rules

Please refer to the sport rules page to view league rules.  It is the responsibility of all players to read and understand the sport specific rules as well as the general rules & club policies.

Score & Spirit Point Reporting

  • Game Scores (account for 75% of total points): Team captains are responsible for reporting the scores after your game by logging into your player profile and clicking on ‘My Team’ tab and selecting ‘Report Score/Spirit Points’.  Teams have a 48 hour window to report scores after the completion of the game.  Please be timely with your score reporting so league standings can remain updated for playoff positioning.
  • Spirit Points (account for 25% of total points): Spirit points are awarded to a team from their opponent after each game to encourage sportsmanship, honesty, integrity and fair play.  For more information and how to properly award spirit points, please see our section ‘All About Spirit Points’.
