Floor Hockey

 

'You miss 100% of the shots you don't take! So why not join us for our Fall Floor Hockey league! This high spirit and zero-contact league gives you an outlet to play hockey in a gym setting!

 

If you're looking for a truly awesome cardio experience then this is the league for you! Grab your friends and register a team, or sign up as an individual and we'll put you on a team with other individual registrants.

 

Registration deadline is Wednesday, September 15 @ midnight!

COVID-19 Protocol & Guideline

We are committed to providing the highest levels of safety for our community.  Take some time to read our mandatory 'Safe Return to Play Protocol & Guidelines' for all activities.

 

COVID-19 Proof of Vaccination: By the order of the Provincial Health Officer (PHO), as of September 22, 2021, Ontarians will need to be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14 days) and provide their proof of vaccination along with photo ID to access recreation facilities. Individuals who cannot receive the vaccine due to medical exemptions will be permitted entry with a doctor’s note until recognized medical exemptions can be integrated as part of a digital vaccine certificate.

Start / End Dates

Thursday: Starts Thursday, September 30 and ends on Thursday, December 16.

League start and end dates are subject to change. QSSC endeavors to provide registered players and individuals with as much notice as possible should changes occur.

12 games (10 regular season games + 2 playoff games).

Estimated Game Times

Game length is 55 minutes.

Start times rotate between 6:00pm and 10:00pm. 

QSSC makes every effort to ensure teams receive a mix of game times and locations (where applicable).
Registration Options & Price

Team Registration:  $825.00 + HST.

 

Individual Registration: $135.00 + HST.

 

Team Registrants:  After checkout, send your teammates roster invites through the website (under "My Team" player list) so they can accept the waiver and access the schedule and standings once it is posted.   

 

Individual Registrants:  You will be placed on a roster of individuals two days before your first game. For ease of communication with our office, teams must select a captain, co-captain, and Team Safety Ambassador (TSA) on our website to represent your team. Click here to learn more about Individual teams.

In preparation for a potential vaccine passport implementation in Ontario, Please be advised that the Sport & Social Club (SSC) is required to follow all Provincial Health Orders which may include the requirement for all players to be partially or fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to participate in SSC leagues. At this time, some facility (i.e., university/college, school boards, public, private, etc.) requirements for vaccination will impact a player’s eligibility to play. Players who do not meet these conditions should register for SSC activities at their own discretion. Refunds and credits will not be provided to teams and/or players who are not eligible to participate due to these regulations. Captains are reminded to share this information with all players ahead of registration.

# of Players on Court & Suggested Roster Size

5 players including goalie (minimum 2 males and 2 females).

 

Suggested roster size of 7-9 players. 

Roster Requirements

COVID-19 LEAGUE MODIFICATIONS - Each sport has specific mandatory roster requirements. 

 

Floor Hockey: 

  • As a result of capacity limits, each team roster size must not exceed 9 players at each game.
  • Substitute players are permitted.
  • All players on your team (including substitute players) are required to sign the waiver and must show on your team’s roster online.
Team Safety Ambassador (TSA) COVID-19 LEAGUE MODIFICATIONS - All teams must assign a Team Safety Ambassador (TSA) for the season. 

The TSA must be a registered player and identified using the “TSA” label in your online roster.

Equipment
Requirements
Equipment including nets, player & goalie sticks and balls will be provided and set-up each week.

- Goalie equipment will not be provided on-site (this also includes goalie masks). 
- Teams are responsible for providing Goalie Gear.  Do not share your goalie gear with other players or teams. 
-Teams should read and understand the goaltender equipment requirements. These are located in the sport rules tab.

Sports Equipment will be sanitized between games.
